NS overseas leave on mc

As a boss, as long as the employee has an MC, I can't do anything about it. What counts more is work output. Having said that, it's not a fair comparison.

I've gone overseas while on MC n there was an ICT going on. I just wrote an email to contact-at-NS.sg informing (not asking for permission but informing them), applied for Overseas notification n left it at that. Nothing ever happened to me.

instead of putting yourself as the "patient", why not in the shoes of the employer? Imagine you are the boss and your employee were to take MC, and you found out probably via facebook that they went out partying or movie during working hours in particular.

Now the question is, do you accept that?

So you are fine with employees taking MC to go holiday?

You can say inform or ask permission or whatever. What's important is at least they know what you planning to do.

Guys, think about the logic. MC/Attend C is for you to rest at home / in bunk / sick bay. If you are on Attend C and you can go overseas for holiday or go watch a movie, don't you think SAF would want you back in camp?

I am not sure which commander would dare to risk their career / themselves to allow you to go overseas while on MC/Attend C. Why should they take a risk and let you go enjoy yourself?

Maybe TS wants to consider converting the MC to annual leave instead.
