Apply for deferment, or request to be enlisted few months later, or come up with new medical conditions which will warrant your delay in enlistment so that u can enjoy more before enlistment.

Personal point of view - do not delay your enlistment. The earlier u ORD the better.

But, if u clear 14 days 1 shot, then weekend also counted towards the 14 days. So anyone w common sense, max take 13 days at once.

I got 13 days of leave. Can take 5+ 5+ 3 days over 3 weeks right?

if i m not wrong, if leave application is over 7 consecutive or more, the weekends will be considered as part of the leave also. double check with your S1 Br.

No carry over of leave.

Talk to the person approving your leave. In fact, there are documents on the intranet that will tell you about taking leave.

I had to apply when I took 10 days leave to travel to New York City. Had to raise a request and have my boss approve it.

I think you don't have to inform them if you're going to Malaysia for xx hours now though. If you're going to Malaysia that is.

it always better to just inform. unless it is for a short while to Malaysia.

no point hiding because they will know anyway.

You ask your boss whether can become off lor.

I took a 14 days trip to Korea. Applied 9 days leave no issue.

Also can the NSF leave Singapore for holiday on the night when his duty for the day ends? eg his leave starts on 10 April, can he leave the country on 9 April at 10pm?

i believe there’s a policy where you cannot be away for a number of days at one go. Anyway such policies is not unheard of outside of SAF.

Just inform your boss your intention to do so, best in writing, should be fine.

This is army, there are no concrete laws one. If your superior allow, it is allowed

So many things that are said in this thread that are not true. It may be true for your unit, but not for others, so you have to clarify no matter what. I know people who have taken leave all the way till the last 2 days of ORD, so the cannot take leave in the last week is not true

And then you go back for reservist, then you realise your reservist rules different from your friend's reservist rules
