NSF Distruption for University

Hey bros out there, i was wondering if any of you guys have experience in this situation as im seeking any advice or help and i gladly appreciate you guys reading this

I currently am going to ORD in sept '13

Am applying for SIM UOL banking and finance course and it starts-Mid August '13
The school will only let me know my confirmed placing 1 month before - July '13

And from what i heard from my HQ, it states that in order to distrupt for uni i must apply for it at least 3 months before my school starts with a black and white of my confirmed spot in a university.

However my confirmed placing only comes 1 month in advance and im wondering what will happen? will i still be able to apply for distruption? or will it be disallowed since its too last minute?

Im hoping any bros out here have any experience in this or can tell me what should i do or go about it as i really want to study, or else i have to wait an entire year for the next opening in the school as it only has 1 batch a year

my friend didn't disrupt and instead use his off and leave to attend the lessons...

officially, it's hard for it to be approved.

unofficially, just clear your offs and leaves near your ORD date and attend your lessons.

dont have to tell your superiors about it as it's your right to claim your leaves. and in your application, just indicate an earlier ORD date

It is still better to talk to your superiors about it (especially unit S1).

There's a high chance of them helping you as it is only 1 month prior to your ORD date (at that point in time you should have handed over your duties and just lobo-ing already lol)

Applying for disruption in your case wouldn't really work because there is a ridiculous lead-time for the processing (as with all things in SAF) so just speak to your superiors!

Disruption is not permitted for DL programmes.

Only courses conducted by educational institutions which confer their own qualifications are allowed. For example, a NSF will not be allowed disruption to pursue a foreign degree course conducted by the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), since the qualification is not conferred by SIM.

Ah yes, forgot to add on that sim uol is strictly non deferable. Hence you don't have to bother talking to your s1, oc or whatever. If they're gonna follow the book, your chances are naught.

try to use ur leave to cover lor, but that depends on your S1/Boss so... just ask your boss and see how lor... If die die cannot then use the year to work, save moola gain some exp
