Hi guys,

I managed to extract some of the NSmen Recognition Awards from the internet and compiled it here for everyone's information. At the same time what do you guys think are other suitable gifts to be given to us apart from the standard monetary CPF amounts, medals and watch. What about Parker Pen? Vouchers? Plaque? Water Bottles? Wallets? Bags?

1. SAF 5 Years Good Service Medal
- After 2 years of full time service as NSF and 3 High Key ICT served as NSmen

2. SAF 10 Years Good Service Medal + Watch (heard it's a Hamilton watch with our name and unit engraved)
- After completing 10 active ORNS work years with a minimum of 6 High Key ICTs

3. PSEA & CPF Amounts of $3k (for Non-Commanders) & $3.5k (for Commanders)
- 1st Payout: After completing full-time NS
- 2nd Payout: After completing 3 High Key ICT or completing 5 ICTs (of which 2 are High Key)
- 3rd Payout: After completing ORNS training cycle

Wah sian man. At least you got a better OC now. I think they should create even more sub milestones, so every ICT we attend there is something to look forward to in a way. What awards and incentive ideas do you have leh? I was thinking of them giving Parker Pens, Vouchers and other things along this line.

Assuming they don't reduce the number of ICTs and they offer more milestones for gifts and awards. What gifts and awards would interest you guys?

Money? Vouchers?
Material Goods? Watch? Shoes?
Certificates/Plaques?

I'm trying to generate more ideas, then perhaps throw up these feedback to Mindef. So please share you thoughts. Haha.

RE IPPT - Yesterday's news said they'll intend to simplify IPPT, perhaps lesser stations. Which stations do you think they'll remove?

I got item 1 x 2 (Mindef or my squandron logistic cock up) and item 2 but no chance for item 3 or the "9k" monetary award (CPF or whatever) I wasn't eligible even for 3K since the "cut-off" date I already done more than the stated ICTs.

I hope they remove the sit up station. Even my grandma can pass that station. Waste of time....
