Perth to Cervantes and staying for a night at Sandy Cape (1night)
CERVANTES

- Cervantes to Geraldton and stay for a night in Hutt Province (1night)
GERALDTON
- Hutt Province to Kalbarri and planning to stay for two nights. (2nights)
KALBARRI

- Kalbarri to Denham - planning to stay 4 nights at Denham
DENHAM

- Denham to Coral Bay- Planning to stay 1 night at coral bay
CORAL BAY

- Coral Bay to exmouth- Planning to stay 3 nights at exmouth
EXMOUTH

- Exmouth to Carnarvon- Planning to stay 1 night at Carnarvon

I dount need pre-book, WA quite ulu afterall.

I prefer freecamping, with toilet/water facilites, sts with free wood/pits/bbq stoves, less lighting, but more freedom.

Pray no tsunami in Indian ocean then...lol

i don;t rember free campsites has any booking facility or need to book, no designated parking whatsoever, Moreover, June is off-peak. You probably reading summer talks.

Not forgetting, there are many beach parks with toilets, with showers and bbq pits, next to car parks.
Use Wikicamps AU app, for advices and detailed reviews.

Rule of thumb, anything above ave. 200km/day self/drive, not mentally healthy for tour.

Earlier, my SO proposed Darwin-Adelaide drive, 5000km 20days i had to reject her proposal, just to see the red rock and glaze at the stars.

Curious, which flight / promo /dates you booked?

I have a total of 25days with the campervan.
I cant rmb the promo I got.

anyway, flight to perth - jet star
18june, mid night flight

return - scoot
17 july - night flight

I should b able to cover the place within 25days I guess.

base on my understand, most places dun allow overnight parking right? esp national park and beach park like u mention ?

very puzzle ... lol

likely I think I will be booking some site mainly at
Kalbarri, Denham and exmouth

the rest just play by ear, since I think the van should able to self support the accommodation part.

anyway base on my route, any advised on the place to park/camp over night ?

haven't really plan much aside from the route

I'm set too for Perth early June, 2 weeks.
Tentatively planning east wards to Kalgoorie, south to Esperance, swing back to Wave rock, and south to Albany, back to Perth. 2500+km.
My half die die wants to drive inland into uluness and total darkness, to glaze at shooting stars

Does anyone know if these can park at the open door supermarket in city outskirts to buy stuff? It may take up 2 lots front and back.

lots are humongous, outskirts. Can fit into one. Free parking anyway, even if you take 2. What you wanna watch out for is height limit barrier, sometimes into the car park or beach parks. Just enter from exit way at your discretion.

Honda, fyi, one way fee is waived at aussiecampervans.com, for >21 days bookings, in case you're interested to save AUD300-500.

Got a price matching from cruisinmotorhomes for a 4 berth birdsville @ $125 per day after discount compared to salamanda for apollo euro camper.

Downside is cruisinmotorhomes will forfeit deposit of $300 if cancel >22 days, salamanda will refund $123 deposit.

Perth>Wyalkatchem> Kalgoorlie> Esperance>Hyden> Albany> Pemerton> Bunberey, Perth.

West Moto Park Dirt Biking is an interesting twist.

Also available for 6yo up with gear/helmet/training.
Owner told us we 3rd family from Singapore in 3 years..haha.
Dunno if any available nearer perth.

more worthwhile to travel 200km NE of perth, and spend whole day, with full day rent with its own campervan park, and facilities, and enjoy sand drifting on tracks. (bikes or buggies)

No whales at this time of year. Saw a leaping shark at Cape Le Grande NP thou.

landed in perth this morning and collected the campervan.

some detail to tk note on which I think will benefit some of us in the forum

- buying cigarette at DFS and do a declaration and paying tax, it still much cheaper.

- upon exit, there a booth selling simcard for data.
I got myself the Vodafone.
it cheaper to purchase it at perth instead of SG

- shopping at the local supermarket like coles and e.g
get their inhouse brand item. it dirt cheap.
keeping the receipt to get discount on petrol.

will be leaving perth city tmr and heading up north.

Hah, forgot to pass you my telstra SIM with lots of balance calls/text credits.

Yup, I whack 2 cartons from DFS, act blur, waved thru Aussie customs without even asking me 'anything to declare'. Aussie cigs indeed double priced ours, scary. Happily buffing my holiday away. Btw, what was the duty tax like at customs?

My partner also prefer Coles, she feels better variety .
4cts less at Shell, BP works with Woolworths, another with IGA, Gull's cheapest...

I have to rcmd you to visit, 1 hr south of Perth at Mandurah.
Camp under the city main bridge, by the riverbed, flocking with pelicans, gaunets, and guess what, ....leaping dolphins!! The spot is the inlet from Indian ocean to the bays within Mandurrah. One of the most awesome sites I slept/awakened over.

Who has ever dine and wake-up with skirmming dolphins? The landscape is like a nature wetland, lest the bridge and some houses in the distance. Highly recommended.

Btw, it's winter, and almost no rangers/patrols/park fees throughout our trip, even in popular parks and public places.
