Yeah. I am a student. Being a student sucks sometimes since saving up seriously takes forever(like more than a year) if I don't look for a job during the holidays. Besides it's going to be my first keitai so I want to be sure that I really want it since I am planning to use it for a couple years...and I must be able to defend my stand really well when my parents question me about my need about having such an expensive phone.:D

hahaha, we feel ur pain! since we are all students XD
i had a hard time brainwashing my mum trying to convince her that the phone was worth it.
i tink i mentioned it like once every 2 days, telling her how awesome the camera is, how i can save money because i can use the hp as a camera and how amazing the functions were and how pretty the phone is. Then i have to convince her that i would not change my phone within next 2 yrs, although i doubt she believed me la. but in the end she relented and said: since u using ur own money, do what u like.

so i was rather happy, since she didnt object anymore lol! plus my she n my dad were quite impressed with the design of the phone after i got it and they played around with it, till i have no idea what they were pressing when i passed my phone over to let them take a look hahaha =x

The most difficult part was still the money though. i saved up for 6mnths..using the $$ i gotten from teaching tuition and working for my cousin XD

Haha, I'm a student too. For me, I just budget carefully and follow it through. I have it easy on the parents part though. They more or less have given up on me and my addiction to handphones. :D

Just like luloos, I was kind of made to say that I won't get another phone. For me it was supposedly till I finish my studies when my aunt got me my HTC Touch Diamond last year. But somehow everyone seems to have forgotten about it and my aunt herself has bought me another phone today. :s13: Will be collecting it tomorrow. :)

Then be sure to keep your promise of using it for at least two years! ;) You own a F-01B right? I don't really have much problems with my mother since she holds the "As long as it's your money..." attitude. Besides, it's not a crime to buy a mobile phone. The problem lies with my father who will surely goes "@%$%!%#%!@" even though I am planning to work and earn the money. Whatever, I am planning to heck care about what he will say. What I don't like is that my father might want to play with it when he knows nothing about technology. I don't like people to touch my things. :s27: Oh well...I'll just see how it goes...

Thanks for the guide! The first time I saw Super I was like "OMG! Why are there so many settings?" But now I realized that it's actually quite easy to use and it's my favorite converter software ever.

haha im the total opposite as u, my dad doesnt really care, my mum is the one who nags but she gave up after i said im using my money but still nags sometimes. i dont mind my parents touching my phone, just dont like it when they anyhow press till i dont know what settings they accidentally pressed lol. so i keep my eyes on them when they trying out my phone. but luckily they know that i dont like it when they anyhow play with my phone, so they always ask me how to set to cam or whatever they wanna try out 1st before using it..phew!

and yea i own a F-01B..hopefully i can use it for 2yrs lor! XD in my whole 7yrs of using handphones only one lasted for a full 2 yrs before i changed the rest are like 1 to 1.5yrs..and the 2 yrs is only because during that period i lost interest in all sg phones and just bought a 0 dollar one :s13:

No problem! Glad I could help! :) Personally, I think SUPER is one of the best freeware converters around, although the interface is very raw, that's why perhaps you got put off by it initially. I've been converting stuff for quite awhile before I came across SUPER, so it was okay for me.

For me is my mum will try to dissuade me, but not discourage. My dad however is very
enthusiastic. He uses 2 PDA phones(Dopod D810(which was mine)and Omnia. And now he's waiting for one of our lines to expire so that he can get the Omnia II. :s13:

@luloos: Got so put off by SG phones? :s13: My longest period with only one phone was my first phone. Since then, my phones history has gotten a bit lengthy. :o

Oh. I went over to business phones(HTC) Still have my TyTN II and Diamond. The TyTN II I do use at times to write reports on the train home. Although lately, its been throwing tantrums. But now I've got an Omnia Pro to take over it if it decides to retire. Hope not though.

Haha, that's what my friends say too. Especially after knowing my dad also plays PSP. :s13:

I don't like my father touching my Japanese phones when I get one is that he don't even know how to use his very basic Nokia phone and who knows what he will do with my Japanese phone. Plus, he has the very disgusting habit to pick at his nose and touch other stuff without washing his hands. Major ewww! I have to protect my phone at cost no matter what from that :s16:! As for my friends and family besides my father, I don't mind much as they don't have that disgusting habit and I will be able to "supervise" them.
I believe judging from Japan's build it should be able to last for at least two years...and the only time you have to change phones are when you got tired of your F-01B.:s13:

Yeah. At first I was looking at my brother using the SUPER converter and was a bit thrown off by the confusing interface. Then I saw my brother using it and found out that it was actually very easy. It's been my favorite converter ever since then.:D

I lost all interest in SG phones too after I got into Japanese phones...while people are going gaga over the latest phones, I was like "Yeah? So?". LOL.

hahaha XD i'll totally not let my dad touch my phone if he digs his nose and not wash his hands! that is also the reason why i dont like my brother to touch my things! he is the same as ur dad, but worse he digs his nose all the time, F**king gross so i hate it when he touches my things and i stopped playing with his psp after i see him doing that all the time. so disgusting...=.=

yeap as for my frens i'm ok with them too as long as they ask me what they should do to get to certain apps instead of anyhow pressing...which is also why i purposely set my phone to japanese muahaha! =x

yea i dont think i will change my phone soon since keitais are lasting...unless i see a new awesome keitai lol XD
when i look at people going gaga over iphone now..i cant help but to think and sometimes say to my frens.."oh so u like the i-haveacommon-phone" =x no offence to iphone lovers!
