hahaha XD i'll totally not let my dad touch my phone if he digs his nose and not wash his hands! that is also the reason why i dont like my brother to touch my things! he is the same as ur dad, but worse he digs his nose all the time, F**king gross so i hate it when he touches my things and i stopped playing with his psp after i see him doing that all the time. so disgusting...=.=
yeap as for my frens i'm ok with them too as long as they ask me what they should do to get to certain apps instead of anyhow pressing...which is also why i purposely set my phone to japanese muahaha! =x
yea i dont think i will change my phone soon since keitais are lasting...unless i see a new awesome keitai lol XD
when i look at people going gaga over iphone now..i cant help but to think and sometimes say to my frens.."oh so u like the i-haveacommon-phone" =x no offence to iphone lovers!
Like he even does that during dinner and all. So gross. Made me lost my appetite. My dad is very $^%%$%^ as he thinks that I must obey him at all times for he's the one whose paying for my education and all that. I guess I'll try not to use it in front of him man. Don't want that
on my phone!

I just learn about keitai today. I know I am slow...
Looks like I am going to change my target for new phone already.. My current phone with me nearly 4 years already, don't bare to change my phone to others. But up lorry soon.
At first I thought of something smiliar to the one I am using, which is Aino. Yea, I am currently using a SE phone. Since I want number pad and slide of flip phone(though I prefer flip phone more)
Soon, I change my target to HTC HD2. Since the huge screen is just gorgeous. I nearly purchased that one to replace my current phone. But I think about it... it is a smart phone. Yet I already have an iPod touch which can also do most of the thing HTC can do beside calling and camera.
So I was browsing through forum yesterday. I open this thread about showing off exotic phone. The first phone I saw was DoCoMo SH-01B and my first reaction was. "OMG, I WANT THAT SO MUCH". I thought it was a local phone, but no... it is a Japanese phone.
So I am now on the edge, weather to buy HTC HD2 or SH-01B. You know... if I were to buy this, there is alot of thing I would be afraid of. Like will I get use to the phone... is it fully useable or something. I read through forum, looks like very complicated to own a keitai.
Why can't Singapore don't sell all this nice phone... Ugh.
for SH-07A what naming file should be use i tried MMFxxx.mp4 doesnt work.......
@Vanora: Wah, your friend so bad. Then the teacher never ask your friend delete instead? Call "iHaveACommonPhone" so long lei, ask "you want be iDiot?" can le.No reason it can't be used, but SE and Nokia are recommended. And if I'm not mistaken, taking the sim card from the iPhone is not as easy. Think you need use something poke then it will come out.
Oh I see...yeah. I heard from my friend that the simcard isn't easy to be removed from iPhone. You are not the first, but you won't be the last.
HTC HD2 and SH-01B are really different phones. For a start, HD2 is touch only, while SH-01B has a physical keypad. If you SMS a lot, or have a big thumb, messaging with the touch only HD2 can be a problem.
In the camera department, the SH-01B is far more superior. Personally, I see it as a phone with camera as one of it's forte. The 12MP CCD will definitely outperform the HD2's 5MP CMOS on almost all aspects, save for battery consumption. Also, HTC camera's have never really been top-notch although they are gradually improving.
The HD2 also runs on Windows Mobile, which can be a double-edged sword. If you know how to tinker around with WinMo, you'll get to appreciate it. If you don't, you'll end up condemning it(a lot do). There's a lot of potential on the HD2, but you need to unlock it. For instance, by installing third party software, you can play most of the formats available. That means no conversions needed, unlike the SH-01B where there is the hassle of converting to specific formats.
For the SH-01B, you can only use it as it is, no software modifications and stuff. But you get a nice 16M color screen which has a higher screen resolution of 854X480 on a smaller screen(3.4 inches). The HD2, while big at 4.3 inches, has slightly lower 800X480 but only supports 65k colors(WinMo limitation).
You also get a great camera with stuff like anti-shake, smile detection, face detection etc, that are more commonly found on digital cameras and less so on cameraphones, and definitely not on the HD2.
And also nice LED lightings and the fact that you will be a lot less likely to see another SH-01B then you will a HD2.
If you are patient and willing to read and learn, there really isn't much to Japanese phones. The initial learning curve may look (and be) steep, with jargons like hypersim, CPRs and the need to convert all music to M4A or WMA and fixed file structures and naming conventions. But once you understand and get past it, its as easy to use as any other phones. Since so many of us here have done it, you should too. And if you have any queries, you are not alone, we will help you out.![]()

@Vanora: Haha, the teacher is not quick-thinking enough.![]()

I can't read Japanese so I couldn't set it into Japanese. But it's indeed to prevent others from using it. I have a friend who set her phone into Japanese and there was once she took a picture of her teacher. The teacher found out, wanted to delete the picture but don't know how to as the phone was in Japanese.
I am adopting your phrase "i-haveacommon-Phone" now. Like one of my friend wanted to get iPhone even though she wanted to get SH-01B too. Then was asking me if iPhone could be used as a CPR phone(by the way, is iPhone advisable for use as a CPR phone?). Then I was like "Oh you want to get that i-haveacommon-Phone huh". LOL. In the end she didn't get it.![]()
Hmm I wonder is it advisable to get a Japanese phone if I always get low reception at School(NYP). Since I have been reading that CPR is due to low signal or no signal. Since in lecture room or other part of the school I always get no signal with my current phone. Does this mean I need to do CPR everyday?
it really has to do with ur sim n hypersim compatibility, if u read about u will know that it depends highly on compatibility n of cuz ur luck at getting a compatible one. if its not compatible then yes maybe u will have to cpr very often.

For some lecture theatres, the reception is quite low. Since you are always going there, you'll know, so before going, set the phone to self mode, which will stop the communication function, and after leaving the lt, switch off self mode. The phone will get back the signal without the need for CPR.

Skyline, I assume you study in NYP too? So what happen if we actually forget to on the self mode and it lose signal? So same question as my previous post... do I have to do CPR to get back signal or automatically it will find the signal back?
