Hi,
I heard that SH-06A will auto off itself. Is this true? In overall, should I take Sh-01B or SH-06A? Please advise. Thank you.

@r3birth87: I believe the SH-06A doesn't not off by itself. The problem faced by some SH-06A users is auto restart. I'm not clear what was it that cause the auto restart, but I know it varies from user to user.

Whether you should get SH06A or SH01B, it's really depends on your preference.

The SH-06A restart issues seems to be due to hypersim conflicts.

As to SH-06A or SH-01B, as KeitaiCraze already mentioned, its up to your personal preference. What you are looking for, in terms of design or features are all unique to you. Besides, between the SH-06A and SH-01B, there isn't really a lot of differences, so there's no clear cut answer.

Sorry. Correct me if im wrong as this is my first time. If i can unlock instead of using hypersim, it will have no such issues?

Oic. How about Sh-01B? Can its software be unlocked?

No..Only certain NEC and LG DoCoMos can be software unlock. Do try to make a search on Google next time btw, since most of the questions you will ask as a newbie will be available on the net. :)

The unique touch keypad input on the Fujitsu. The keypad will first appear as on the F-01B. Upon touching the [JKL] button, the screen changes to the one on the F-04B. In theory, it works well, since the screen may not be able to detect rapid touches and its also faster, requiring only 2 steps maximum, instead of up to 5 times. In practice though, it doesn't work that well. It takes awhile for the screen to make the change and the time taken is more than the potential time saved. Another factor is the unfamiliarity with such a unique system, so much different from what one is usually used to, although this can be overcome with practice. I have managed to polish my skills on this system to be able to tap as soon as the keypad changes, but the time taken to type out a message is significantly more than using the conventional keypad, touch or otherwise.

Also, notice the difference between the F-01B and F-04B screens. The F-01B is on the clear type screen protector, while the F-04B is on the matte screen protector. As can be seen, this causes the display on the F-04B to be less well-defined, less clear than than the F-01B, but the F-04B is less reflective than the F-01B. Also, the F-04B is less of a fingerprint magnet than the F-01B, though this can't be seen in image.

I've since swapped the matte for clear type screen protector as I prefer spending more time cleaning the screen in exchange for a clearer, more defined screen. :)

I was looking through NTT DoCoMo Products site, and saw at the Prime Series website that a lot of the models are no longer on the site. What's left for Prime Series is F-01B, F-04B, P-01B and L-06A. Even the image displaying the 2009 Winter Series release has been down to just the F-01B, F-04B, P-01B. Anyone know what's happening? Why has the SH-01B and N-02B disappeared?

How did you know they removed it on the 29th April? I just went to take a look just now and found most of the models missing. Just 4 models left for Prime Series. Pretty unusual since the SH-01B and N-02B seem alright and they belong to the most recent 2009 Winter Series too.

Oh. Guess that explains the reason behind the removal of the models. Guess I should learn some Japanese too, else I'll never be able to find out such stuffs. :s13: Thanks for the link!

Though it doesn't quite explain why they were removed. It's quite unusual that they removed that many models so soon after launch. Unless the new 2010 Summer series has models that closely replicate these models, hence the removal to avoid hurting sales.
