If you wanna get in Japan, get a NTT DoCoMo and make sure it has GSM. If you wanna be safe, look through the NTT DoCoMo site and narrow down to a couple of phones. Check that they have GSM and if still in doubt, check back here with the list and we'll confirm it for you.

Its pretty alright. I mean, if you wanna get a special phone, might as well get one that stands out as well right?

But, the SH-05B does not have 3G and cannot be used. Also, do read up on unlocked keitais before getting one. Resources are easily available on the net. For starters, you can read the start of this thread.

Yup! Sure! HWZ is always my saviour!~ Haha! The last time I start reading from start is when I bought a iPhone 1st gen from the states and reading pages of cracking iphone methods.

Files yes, songs only AAC. WMA requires WMP. AAC music will not turn up on MUSIC player.

Anyone knows how to turn off the text prediction for F-06B? I played through the menu for quite awhile, still can't find it.

Its a 3G mobile router. Basically, you plug a SIM card in and the router will log into the mobile internet network. Devices then connect to the router via WiFi and access internet. Much like the router we usually use except this uses mobile internet instead.

F-06B has WiFi built-in.

I'm having difficulties trying to sync my SH-07B using datalink. I'm using Vista 32-bit and what I'm trying to do with datalink is to edit the phonebook as I don't want to manually edit the contacts on the phone itself.. too troublesome.

I can see my phone on microSD mode though.. I wonder what's the issue. The FOMA driver both from the CD and the Docomo website refuse to complete its installation. Really hair-pulling experience.

Part A: Install AppLocale
1) Download AppLocale

2) Copy the downloaded file (apploc.msi) to the root of C: drive

3) Click the Start button, and search for "cmd"

4) Right-click and "Run as administrator"

5) Type "cd/" and enter

6) Type "apploc.msi" and enter

7) Continue installation as per normal

Part B: Install datalink
1) Click the Start button and search for "AppLocale"

2) Right-click and select "Properties"

3) Go to "Compatibility" tab and check the "Run this program as an administrator"

4) Click "Apply" and close.

5) Run AppLocale

6) Browse to the datalink.exe installation file

7) Select 日本語 (or something similar)

8) Continue installation

Part C: Install drivers
1) Plug in the phone and make sure it is in communication mode

2) Go to Computer

3) Right-click and select properties

4) Select Device Manager

5) Look for an icon with a small triangle at the bottom left which is somewhat similar to

6) Right-click on that, select Properties, "Drivers" tab and "Update Driver"

7) Select "Browse My Computer for driver software"

8) Point to program to the USB directory on the given CD. (Eg D:\F06B_USB_Driver\Win7_32)

9) Just click next all the way. A couple more modules of the phone will show up, just continue the process.

*A large chunk is based off my memory so take this as a general guide!

Ok, I have my system locale as Japanese, so I skipped the AppLocale part.

The thing is when I connect up the phone to the PC, my internet disconnects(using USB wireless adapter). The datalink managed to see my phone in communication mode with my wireless adapter still attached to its usb port, albeit it's not working anymore. But then during the authentication part, the phone says 'Connection interrupted' and I lose my Starhub signal. And ultimately I'm still unable to port my phonebook to my PC.

Datalink doesn't read my phone if the wireless adapter is not connected to a USB port. Thus I conclude I have no more hairs to pull out and I resign myself to just changing every contact with the phone..

I bought the hypersim from tiffian.com, and he told me to set the keitai first before using the hypersim.
I have asked them so many time on email but no answer

The only thing you need to do is to make sure your SH-06A is switch to GSM/GPRS only.
After that do a cpr on your sim card (without any hypersim attach) to a local phone (force switch to GSM mode only). Call out and in.
Remove sim card on your local phone, attach hypersim to your sim card and insert it to your SH-06A.
If still got problem, then go to tiffian and ask them to solve your problem.
