which hypersim do you have? I know the manual select works on mrsim with att sim cards, but I am trying this with another prepaid sim card I have and its still not selectable

i'm using firesim

i've never used a prepaid sim card so cant help you there,

ya based on new singtel sim card, if you sim card 'lost'ahem can change to new sim card

i just 'lost' my simcard and i dont think i'm charge since the person at singtel did not say anything about how much i have to pay for replacement, and this is not the first time i got a replacement

also, you can try it since so far after i changed the settings, nvr had the need to restart my phone to get back signal, just have to wait patiently, it came back on its own.

Yeah, an old SIM card might cause problems. My old M1 SIM was more than 4 years as well. I lost it last month and M1 delivered a new one and I've had only to CPR once since. If you lost your SIM, they should give you a free replacement(and perhaps some hello! vouchers or discount as well :s13:)

I'm having difficulties trying to sync my SH-07B using datalink. I'm using Windows 7 32-bit and what I'm trying to do with datalink is to edit the phonebook as I don't want to manually edit the contacts on the phone itself

i have been thinking abt prepaid sim cards i believe you cant select since prepaid cards are more or less fixed to one telecom provider. also do prepaid cards in your area have 3g? if it doesnt, then i would think that your sim card is not compatible with your hypersim

the prepaid sim cards are the same as the post paid in the US, but it seems on the sim cards I messed with paired with my mrsim, some have the network selection available to use, and some do not on docomo sharps, phone gets signal, but only possible to use network selection on automatic. Havent figured out why that is. And found it interesting you got network select with the firesim and didnt have the menus blocked off. such as manual and the plmn setting is also greyed out.

interesting problem. i believe why my menus isn't blocked off is most probably bennyhk(i got mine frm him) edited some parts of the hypersim codes, probably thats why his hypersim works well here.

on why some sim cards + mrsim do not work on docomo sharps, have you tried comparing the menus and options under 'international roam' ?

are they exactly the same or which options are different ? if there are differences, maybe you can try posting it here and hopefully someone would be able to point you in the right direction

this is what I messed with, I havent done it in a while since my post paid line is my main line and with my mrsim, with the one of the specific versions of mrsim software I used, the manual/search plmn work. If I changed to the latest version the menus do not appear. If its left on automatic, the phone will reboot in low signal areas very frequently. But on manual, I dont have any cpr issues.

The same mrsim when put with prepaid, its another telco, not the same as my post paid, the menus are blocked off.

Hmm, in yours, when you check own number, do you have 080988888888, the non mrsim hypersims dont show the number is what i noticed

i think manual is generally better for keitais since for my case, if i on auto in low signal areas, i expect will look for the plmn setting with 3g, since it is unable to find the plmn setting with only 2g, and when it tries to connect to the plmn setting with 3g i would need to cpr. but all these are just guess work i have not tried it on auto yet.

when i check my own no. is says 'own number not saved'

when you put your prepaid card in a local phone are the menus also blocked off?

Thats what I've observed, manual holds signal better, whether I had GSM or GPRS, I never had an issue with signal. Using automatic in low signal areas, there was more likely no recovery of signal.

I've noticed the same thing, with trying to connect to 3g off of 2g, it just wont connect and forces a cpr.

I guess benny did some adjustments to the hypersim to enable the menu thats different from the mrsim. I was thinking having that number with the japanese country code possibly allowed the manual network select to show on the sharp when paired with my post paid att sim card. Some hypersims seem to enable or disable specific menus on docomos like sms centre number.

with a local phone the prepaid sim works like my post paid sim card with the numbers, in the US, both gsm telco do not use the sim card service menus.

Is that any function to forward a sms to multiple addresses? I've been manually sending the same sms to several people and it's been quite troublesome..

Bro, u haven't been reading this forum much do you? This has been an inherent issue with the current range of Softbank/NTT Docomo keitais for god knows since when, and has been discussed to death previously before already lol.

And btw, I got back to you regarding yr previous PM enquiry already. My apologies for my late reply as I haven't been clearing my PM inbox much. :o

From here, I think it's safe to say that most, if not all of the recent DoCoMo models can be unlocked with hypersim. My view of Softbank models is that they can also be unlocked via hypersim but there's a possibility of multimedia lock as well.

The latest DoCoMo models available should be the Summer 2010 models and they are all hypersim unlockable.

Not all NTT Docomo models can be unlocked successfully, you may check this chart for a list of NTT docomo models supporting World-Wing 3G+GSM. Those that are indicated under that list, can be unlocked and will usually work with any hypersims out on the current market.

Cheers.

Hey guys, is there ANY way to puy music (already converted into WMA) onto the phone just by using the mircosd in a card reader? The synched WMA music appears in the IMPORT folder, If I want to listen to them I have to go to the " Lifekit > Microsd > Import folder =/

What I want to be able to do is listen to the wma files directly from the MUSIC player on the phone.

I don't have the usb cable for the phone (sh01b).

Thank you~

Its 3G mobile router. Basically you plug a SIM card in and the router will log into the mobile internet network. Devices then connect to the router via WIFI and access internet.
