NTU APPLICATION NO NEWS

I just graduated from poly this semester ME with business minor.

Applied with 5th sem CGP 3.6777 during feb period, computer science, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering+business minor,
was told that result will be out from mid march. now coming end of march, there is still no news. seems like i got rejected for doing badly for o level.


after my graduating sem result came out, in which i got 3.8 including AD for my FYP and straight A/A+s for all core engineering modules and only got 2 C+ for interdiscipline studies module. (Which was compulsory to take).

my cgpa is now 3.6999. time to appeal using my graduating gpa? any idea what i should do? this is so frustrating, the application processing system is horrible. they didn't even have an automated mailing system to inform the result and keep applicants posted and are still using black and white letters in which dont seems to be coming because they wanna save money sending letters to rejected applicants..

Can anyone tell me whats going on

Be patient la. They have so many applicants to sieve through. They usually dont reject straight away. Due to the fact that some people who get the offer might withdraw and go to another university instead, this will open up a space and you might get it. You'd rather be rejected than to get a spot at all isit? Rejections for JC applicants usually come out only in MAY. I believe poly applicants would be the same too. They will send you a rejection letter but they usually send all one shot. After that can start appealing.

Btw, applications for JC students havent even closed yet. Your results are not so spectacular, hence, you wont get a spot that fast. Usually those GPA 3.9< will get first. Then followed by the rest.

If you really dont want to wait, then by all means, withdraw your application. Other people would be happy to have more spots opened up for them.

so if we received letter from the uni like ntu/smu/nus means we got rejected?

they inform people when they got accepted is through email right?

Relax , normally they process those with higher gpa first , ur score sure in de la , is just that you will receive the letter much later.

I just received mine 2 days ago.
Many of my friends received theirs this week, yours may be coming too.

I have a cgpa of 3.54 and applied to WKWSCI. I don't have a DOM

I graduated from JC with BCE/C my chemistry got E Until now, 29 april, none of the unis sent me letters. I have sent two appraisals for ntu but there is no news too... So means i have no chance except SIM already right? Guess the only letter will be rejection letter in may

Nothing can be concluded until you receive the letter, be it acceptance or rejection letter.

BCE is hard as it's like CCD. The cut off for uni is normally BCC as it is 70 points. (Hope you know the rank point system)

Anyway they have recently sent out a lot of rejections letter and acceptance this week. If your app is still processing, don't dismay as they are considering!

But honestly put, your chances are really slim.
