Jiuhu kia called me, i roughly guess it's scam liao.
Listen for a min, talk about simi NTUC policy simi union, totally incoherent.
Then i unleased all the regards to his whole family in a combination of English/Chinese/Hokkien, then quickly hang up.
He called back, i assume wanna scold me, but i never pick up.

Some jiu hu kia here long already ,able to hide their accentIf it’s PRC or JHK accent, and speaking in Mandarin, I will insist they speak in English.
Recently received one that spoke in fluent English. Told me to approve a transaction in my HSBC cc. Identity fraud . Someone used my SingPass to apply cc etc. Almost me worried. When he offered to I help me connect to police /mas and transferred the call, knew it was a scam.
Puzzled that they sounded so much like our locals . Beware.
1st BS to take note is never confirm if they talking to the right person, you pick up the call, just start talking already. Most proper customer service working in call center are taught to address people properly and offer your own name then explain the purpose of your call, then ask for permission to speak to check if the other person on the line is free to talk to you. Some jiu hu kia here long already ,able to hide their accent

Nowadays, I will only pick up calls from landlines, they are all legit.1st BS to take note is never confirm if they talking to the right person, you pick up the call, just start talking already. Nothing more rude then you keep talking while the person might be busy at something or at a meeting, but pick up the call due to concern that it might be from hospital about their elders.
