NUC or Mini-ITX?

Selling my laptop and going back to "desktop".. have been out of the desktop scene for almost a decade, so I'm really out of touch.
If I'm looking for a small PC (doesn't have to be THAT small, but small is better), easy/cost-effective to upgrade and replace components, would NUC or mini-ITX be better? Or perhaps there are other better options?

Budget wise would be under 1500, but if can spend less that would be good (need 32gb ram). Don't need a powerful graphics card as i don't really game.

nuc costs more and cannot play games. i sold mine away

If you are thinking of upgradability, then ITX is probably better. But ultimately, it depends on your use case for this PC. I would only recommend a NUC if you are looking for a very compact and low power PC.

I think this is a good place to start, but I recommend chatting with the customer service to check on the estimated shipping date because I've heard some models may end up shipping as late as November this year.

Lenovo is using JIT, u place order they assemble minimum delivery time is 2 weeks... if you custom they just stack more time on top of it.... not recommend if u need it urgently...

What abt the asrock deskmini series? AKA Aftershock vision mini. Specs is can be configured to your liking. To add on the PSU (power brick) is not inside the case unlike the inwin Chopin (probably the smallest ITX case) which can generate a lot of heat within the case.
