told u they are trying very hard to copy from OCS due to some special needs who thinks its best to merge both schools together and then use one common resource.

Maybe one day u will see a Lieutenant Rocky standing beside Sergent Rocky side by side.

Well in the past only WOs holding RSM appointment were given pace stick and ceremonial sword. These days all MWO & above are give ceremonial swords too. Don't know when they get a chance to wear it though especially if they are not RSMs.

the swords were given out because of the MDES. ME4 is considered as officer so is given sword and when the MWOs converted over to MDES and became ME4, they were given swords as well. since then the MWOs are all given swords to be fair.

you guys sure now all 3SG are given bayonets? i go google search only saw all those golden bayonet.

if true then SAF should retrospectively give out the bayonets to all those NSmen SGT as well. those new birds always get all the good stuff while the old birds get nothing.

Anyone who has went through CSM course will be given black pace stick. Cos part of a CSM job scope is to conduct parade. As for the brown pace stick, it is being used by RSM to signify their rank over CSMs.

And for M/S/CWOs being given the sword, it is basically ceremonial but if u were to go in depth, their job is actually to take over the CO in the event the CO goes down in battle until some other CO take over. And which is why, some CO positions are being held by MWOs.
