Anyone here has port-in issue?

I heard that it is best to port-out or port-in to another telco after one month, else the number will be lost

No head no tail. Don't understand what U mean. How would the number be lost if U r using it?
Meaning when in the processing of porting in to another telco, number cannot be found, use or trace back

I ported out less than 48 hours after a port-in is completed before. Nothing happens. Number gets transferred to the next telco successfully.

unless you are talking about a hypothetical "maybe, could happen, anyone experienced this before" situation?

perhaps you can tell us which telcos you are porting in/out

that way, you can get more specific and relevant answers, instead of anecdotes which may not be applicable to your situation, just saying...

to add on, perhaps the telco you are on, and which you are contemplating porting out to

without specifics, you'll only get guesses and anecdotes.

I heard from a friend's friend when porting out from M1 within days, the number gone. Cannot get back

Lots of factors come into play, and difficult to lose number, unless stars aligned. lol

more than the stars..... will require aliens and the porting process done in Area 51

as you know, the number is not a physical token, that can be lost. it's basically a database entry, and there are logs as it "traverses" from the donor telco, to the porting system, to the accepting telco. It's always traceable.

the story sounds like one of those drinking session tall tales i.e. no names mentioned, no specifics, vague handwaving genre -- the "my friend heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who read it on a conspiracy site and it must be true since 'anything on the internet is true' " :ROFLMAO:

For porting in, after activating the new telco sim card. Should i wait for the old telco sim card to die, before swapping in the new telco sim?
