NUS DA Interview: Didn't apply for DA

I received an email from nus chem to go for a DA interview on 28 March. I didn't apply for DA...

My 5 sem gpa: 3.91, L1R4: 16 (B3 for both A & E Maths), no outstanding achievements. My poly course is chem eng.

I m kind of confused as to y I m called up for DA interview since I didn't apply for DA...I also don't rlly know what to showcase. I was on director's list for 4 sem & industry scholarship. I m only active in tutoring programs.

Any ideas as to what they will ask? Is it a good idea to bring my recommendation letters to support the tutoring programs I was active in?

My take on this is that intake to that particular programme might be full. They will most likely ask questions on why you would interested in the course and why you chose for it.

You should bring your letters along since you do not have anything else to supplement for DA. You should contact NUS to see what else they require.

Ic The email mentioned to bring any documents that can be used to support the non-academic achievements that wasn’t submitted thru the portal...which i don’t have any. I shall just bring what i can. Thanks!

On the side note...if i don’t get my first choice thru the DA interview, will I still be considered for my 2nd choice?

I have no idea. The DA interview only applies to the course of entry.

If in an unlikely situation you are not granted, it may fall back to your second choice if the course of your choice is offered at a different department or institution.
