I've recently been rejected by NUS FASS and I'm intending to appeal, with which I need a 1000 word essay. Can anyone provide tips/advice/samples as to what I should include in my essay? Also, what would my chances be? My A level grades are listed below:

H1 GP - C

H1 Econs - B

H2 Maths - B

H2 Physics - B

H2 Chem - C

H1 PW - B

H1 MT - B

Also, I find it strange that 2 of my friends got into NUS science through their discretionary interview. They had ABD/A (B for GP) and ABD/C (C for GP) for their grades (same subject combi as me) yet I was the only one among the 3 of us to be rejected by FOS (it was my 2nd choice). Anyone has a clue as to why?? I don't think my grades were very far off from theirs. Was it due to both of them having an A in H2 maths? I am currently offered Environmental Engineering by NUS.

No idea. Don't think too much. I had ABB GP-D and got rejected by FOS in 2009/10. On hindsight it was a good thing. :s13:
