In short,
NUS: Industrial and Systems Engineering
SUTD: Information System Technology and Design
I'm really torn between these two because though I like the major of SUTD the school is quite unrecognized and I'm unsure of the school's prospect without MIT's name.
For NUS, I feel the ISE course is unrecognized but the school is renowned not only in Singapore but internationally too. I am well aware that should not be the main reason for choosing a school but it is a factor that cannot be easily ignored.
Also NUS's term starts at August so it will give me some time to prepare for some subjects I lack in. SUTD already started and I feel that I may fall behind in this rate
If I accept NUS's offer I am going to try appeal for changing the major though I am not sure if it will be as easy as it sounds.
And oh, I did not receive any scholarships so financial matters are out of consideration for now.
What are your thoughts?? And please refrain from talking about the size of the undergraduate bodies and the fuzzy community and all because honestly they don't mean too much for me.....
