***Nvidia Drivers Bricking Graphic Card***

Greetings,

You all ever encountered cases when the Nividia official drivers "killed" or "bricked" your Geforce cards?

Happened to my GTX 750TI, is a "unqiue" situation as the card will work but only with default VGA drivers; once you install a Nivida drivers (whatever version), it will hang upon the Windows boot screen. You reformat the card will still behave this way, is "fixed".

Read online that overseas that are such cases, and at most can try to RMA; depending on the card makers whether will accept to repair.

Very odd, that 1 time of the faulty version drivers will make the card into such irreversable situation.

There were few instances like this, but is not something common. However, if it is indeed the driver that bricked your graphic card, it should not be an isolated case. So if you read around for the driver version that you are using, you are likely to see more people ranting about the same issue.

wow, i though this happens to much older cards, now GTX 750ti so fast become old card

I remembered this used to be an issue way back with TNT cards from Eagle / Innovision
Didn't know this still occur. Should be an RMA case if under warranty. If not under warranty, can check how much they charge...

Card is a Evga, not a hardware fault but really a software issue.
