Imagine what is gonna happen if they do so. GTX770 = GTX680, the sales will be affected.

In short, the whole series was been re-branded. Nice.

Read in tomshardware that AMD skipped 8xxx series as it is a rebrand for laptop GPU.

Will wait for AMD 9870 to be released.
