I don't think the current GFX will be phased out. There will be a price drop for sure. I believe the percentage jump between maxwell and pascal won't be too much (Probably between 10 - 20%).
people will be so diasppointed if that is true haha
With the current tech, they shouldn't expect to have a high jump in performance (30-50%). Maybe for the Ti cards but that will cost much more than the RRP of 980 Ti when first launched.
Phase out as in stop production. Will still existing stocks circulate in marketI don't think the current GFX will be phased out. There will be a price drop for sure. I believe the percentage jump between maxwell and pascal won't be too much (Probably between 10 - 20%).

It will stop production. They have no reason to continue making it.
That dependsthey probably will continue to make some models like 980 Ti but probably in lower quantities
That depends
If 1070/1080 is to take over 970-980ti range of products, then no, 980ti will end production.
The lower end ones are usually the one that will not phase out so soon because usually they will launch the tier 1 to 2 products first. Lower ends comes out alot later.
750Ti is still not eol'ed?!

in any event, you can start to camp at the 2nd hand corner to whack all the 980/980 Tis when the enthusiasts upgrade
