You can opt to pay in SGD or USD. The rates that Amazon offer for SGD payment has usually been much worse than if you pay in USD with your credit card. For example, I recently purchased a Shield Tablet and paid around 288SGD , instead of the 297 SGD that Amazon quoted.

Long story short, pay in USD using your credit card.
