I've owned nexus 2013 and currently using the original shield tablet. I find there isn't much different between the 2. PPI is lower of course due to the larger 8" screen. Color wise you have some flexibility as Nvidia allows you tune the colour within stock rom. However, it's a certainty it will never come close to an AMOLED display.

strange encounter. I've used my tablet to download movies. after that I connect the tablet to the computer and selected "Transfer files (MTP)" option, But I'm not able to find the movies in the folder. I confirmed the files are in the tablet using both FIFO File Manager and FX file manager. anyone experience this?

If I want to connect the K1 to TV, can I use any Mini HDMI to HDMI 1.4 cable from local computer shop or Homefix store?

Any recommended store to get good screen guard for K1?

Yes can. I got mine from china. Cost me like $3. Forgot if it's micro or mini hdmi.

Totally. Initially using it for Netflix but totally stopped after my subscription ended. Now it's sitting at 1 corner :s13:

It's a mini HDMI as I took from offcicial Nvidia website :

INTERFACES Mini-HDMI with HDCP 1.4 output, Micro-USB 2.0, MicroSD slot
3.5 mm stereo headphone jack with microphone support
