As the Nvidia Shield K1 tablet doesn't come with any cable, I would like to ask what are the cables that I need to buy:
power cord for charging?
a cable to connect my tablet to the tv?

If yes, what are the specs/what type of cables should I buy? Tks in advance.

You will be hard-pressed to find an 8 inch tablet with decent sounding front stereo speakers running close to stock Android Marshmallow. If you can find one that is below $300, there is no reason not to get it.

The only downside of the Shield tablet is its weaker antenna signal. I get spotty reception in my bedroom (router in living room) compared to my Mi Pad, which could get strong signal.

anyone encounter WiFi issues with the K1 version of this tablet?

WiFi works find and good soon after purchase. But after some time, unable to obtain stable connection. Its running Android 6.0.1

Status of home wifi SSID just shown as "saved" but will not connect. Off/on wifi, restart the tablet does is not a full-proof 100% solution as the problem still persists consistently.

Anyone else facing same issue with a permanent fix??

I had a problem with my Nvidia Shield LTE tablet not waking up from deep sleep. In the end, just did a factory reset. Looks good so far, will continue monitoring.

Hope this helps anyone who's having the same problem.

SHIELD Tablet and SHIELD Tablet K1 owners are being met with a software update this morning from NVIDIA, one that brings conformity with Vulkan 1.0.1.0, as well as a few security updates. To make sure you are running the latest build possible, the update for the SHIELD Tablet is labeled as Upgrade 4.4, while the Tablet K1 update is labeled as Upgrade 1.5.

According to the changelog for both devices, the tablets are also being updated to fix a boot loop issue users faced when an SD card was nearing its capacity limit. Additionally, NVIDIA lists that it has fixed “Android Privilege Escalation Exploit (CVE-2016-5195),” otherwise known as “Dirty COW.”
