Can both be used in SG?

Amazon USA states "Device can only be used with AT&T network".

I know it stated unlocked, but just making sure.

USA version only has LTE band 7 or 2600mhz that is deployed more for outdoor and at the coast. LTE band 3 or 1800mhz is the other band that has better indoor coverage and penetration.

Technically the USA version can be use in SG but ur signal may change to 3G depending on which telco u are on.

For me I bought from Amazon UK for the European version which arguably has better compatibility with local networks as both LTE band 3 and 7. Again, no guarantee that it would work.

If u are not into technically, then wait for my set to come in. I will do a review of the European version.

That would be great. Im planning to sell my wifi version and buy the LTE version as I have a spare 4g line to use.

im still waiting for some sale... Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming....

Me too. I'm on a Nexus 7 2013 32GB LTE and in no hurry.
Adopting a wait & see approach.

Currently on my shortlist:

1) Nvidia Shield LTE
2) Lenovo S8 LTE

The UK version is much expensive compare to US version. If I using only 3g plan, is it worth to get the UK version, which support both LTE band?

My shield is Lollipoped :) loved it...performance is even zippier now :) have been using it for slightly more than a month, so far loving it much more than my ex-Samsung Tab S. I am on the wi-fi ver, personally for my usage habit, I just tethered from my phone when I needed to surf, the savings compared to the LTE ver is worth using tethering even though I have a spare data sim card.

Check whether it can still be shipped to SG direct or u need to go through freight forwarder. If direct, u can have a saving of about $25. Otherwise u need to pay additional for Freight forwarder which means similar price.

So shipping from UK is cheaper than US atm? Shipping from US is free right? Not too sure about currency conversion rates. Where can I find them?

If you are really sure there is no chance of you switch to LTE in the near future, why not ? But based on my calculations, after deducting UK's VAT the price of UK set is more or less the same price as the US. Might as well grab the UK set.

Besides the Amazon US set doesn't allow for shipping to SG at the moment. I'm checking with the Amazon CS why is this so when it shows up after filtering "ship to singapore" and "sold by amazon"

Remember, if u buy the UK version must minus 50 pounds cos no VAT.
