No email or notice the ups guy just delivers without notice.

When did you submit the recall?

I did mine on 5th August, til now nothing.

I'm worried because there's nobody home during working hours. And no tracking number given to track the shipment.

Those who already received the replacement, did you guys get any notification or email? Or they just anyhow deliver?

I received the email after I received the replacement.

Rooted mine and flashed the nomoreota zip file following the instructions from here.

As I only needed root access, I used kingroot by following this video.



Both tablets are still working although the killswitch OTA has been submitted as the next update for my old tablet by checking it here.

I will continue monitoring the old tablet to see if it's still working as the days go by.

Root or receive the replacement?
I submitted my RMA claim on 3rd of August and had it sent to an address in Germany where I am now.

Rooting and flashing the nomoreota took less than 2 hours after searching, reading and understanding the procedure. It's my first attempt in rooting any android device so I'm pretty noob at it.

@ guile: you're on latest (3.1) nvidia update?

Yes, latest 3.1 update on the old tablet. It has to be otherwise you can't see what version of the battery you're having and submit a claim for RMA.

@guile: you're in Germany right now? Maybe that's why you got it earlier than us here in SG. As EU shipped after US and Canada was taken care off.

I wondet how long we will have to wait here in SG.

Yes in Germany now. Yup, probably why i receive it earlier. It took about 3 weeks from 3 August to 24 August.

If you haven't receive yours, its best to try and kill the kill switch first since you have the time. And not wait till you receive the replacement. Mine had the kill switch ota waiting but luckily it wasn't activated even though i have activated the replacement for a couple of days.

Yeah. I already flashed Cyanogen. So there won't be any tegra ota for me. But I'll see how when new one arrives. I will keep one in stock.

Actually, i just notice that replacement was shipped on the 27th Aug and I only received the email from Nvidia with the tracking number on the 28th Aug and received the replacement on the 29th Aug.

The Nvidia email was "moved" by gmail to promotion hence I miss that and luckily, i was at home when the UPS guy came.

You're in SG right? When did you submit the RMA? 1st August? Is it new or refurbished?

I submittted on 14 August till now still no news. Anyone still havent receive their replacement unit?
