Got the Gen5 Crucial t705 recently from Amazon and to me it is new experience while i am not sure how accurate was the crystaldiskmark benchmark below is reading with and without momentum cache (RAM Disk) on windows 11 Pro 25H2

Without momentum cache

temperature with and without or pcie set to gen4 or gen5 all hover between low 60c ~ 77c depends on workload.

the most obvious benefits for me was gaming compilation shader and its really fast especially games that always needed like COD global shaders complete within 3min +-

T705 with or without Momentum Cache enable in Monster Hunter Wild Demo - Shader compilation = 10 minutes

this is one of the most demanding and longest shader compilations in recent release game.

Do keep in mind the results should be 20% faster as there is design flaw with Arrow Lake trace from the CPU to the GEN5 M2 slot resulting in high latency and performance penalty. I'm not sure if high D2D overclock can make it faster as the closed beta D2D workaround does not work for me.

I don't really mind the speed because I bought it with intention to add more capacity for storage and I have no use case for even faster storage.

Temperature for a Gen5 temp with 2 hours gaming (Stellar Blade & FF7 rebirth) and the temperate on the T705 just perform similar the same as per my other Gen4 nvme (SN850 & FireCuda 520), with exception SATA SSD (MX500 & Evo 860) is much cooler

Good to know since the price is not that exorbitant for gen 5 performance

Hello, hope everyone's doing well!

Do select the default "NVMe SSD" profile under Settings for apples to apples comparison.
