Was looking at asrock b550m pro4 + 5600g
I see the mobo got 2 slots, gen4x4 and gen3x4
Got what type xxxx number somemore
Need to take note of anything when i buy at amazon?

Maybe buying 500gb or 1tb
Any recommendation?

If chiu buying from amazon chiu nvme drive, buy WD only as can claim warranty locally if **** happens.
Moi using 500gb crucial p5 plus as boot and 2tb wd sn750 se black as 2nd drive. Always buy nvme drive with cache as boot drive.

Not too sure which price list you are referring, nevertheless you can always try to google the nvme product page for more information to check if the drive are pcie gen 3 or gen 4 compatibility.

Yes this is one of the most recommended pcie gen 3 nvme

For desktops, I'll go with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus. For laptops, I lean towards the Hynix P31 Gold. Similar performance, but noticeably better battery consumption by the P31 Gold. I rate the Samsung 970 Evo Plus quite highly so it gets a recommendation for desktops since it's more available and slightly cheaper. The 1TB P31 is a bit of a unicorn now.

For AMD G cpu, your NVMe SSD will not run at PCIE 4 speed, but at PCIE 3 speed.
This happened to my rig below:
Gigabyte X570S Aorus Pro AX motherboard
Ryzen R% 5600G CPU
WD Black SN850 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD (can read up to 7000MB/s)

CrystalDiskMark only 28xxMB/s
