Any idea if I can call them and ask why my application status is still processing?

One of the reason is still processing is because the course is full. I have called up to ask them.

If someone withdraws, then DAE applicants will have chance but priority goes to O Level then ITE. Out of the three choices, one of it either still have vacancy or the school never update their course is full on the system. That is why the admission office still holds on to our application. This is why mine is still processing also.

Then why are we not rejected yet?

Some people initially got posted to NYP may appealed to SP/NP/RP/TP due to their own reasons.

So, lets say if Person A who initially got posted to NYP's IT course but he appealed to RP as he may think RP nearer to his house; etc. Thereafter, RP accepted his appeal and Person A subsequently withdraw from NYP.

Then this time, NYP's DAE Applicants came in handy to fill the Person A's place (the place where Person A had withdrawn).

(Usually, first week of school, alot of people will dropout to go over to other polys one. Then NYP's Registrar office will key in the quota through NYP DAE applicant's channel)

Sorry for digging this post out but can I ask if anybody know what they mean by stating “receiving attention” on the application status? Does it mean that they haven’t start to process my application at all?

Never mind I just checked my application status and it says unsuccessful fml

NYP DAE

Those NYP DAE (ITE) applicants,

I helped my friend to appeal into NYP last week. This morning, I checked him appeal status at this link:

Afterwhich, the status showed that NYP did not received the Verification Slip; etc (but he did submitted last Friday's noon). So, I asked him called in the admission office. The admission office told him that he will look into it. Approximately 15 minutes later, the status changed to "NYP had received all the document and processing it".

Around 1.30pm this afternoon, he received a call from NYP Admission Office that they were unable to offer the three courses that he had chosen. However, NYP counter-offer him another course (that have vacancies).

He just received an acceptance letter from NYP just now and he's doing his enrolment now.

I am in the same situation as your friend as NYP counter-offer him another course (that have vacancies). However, I did not receive an acceptance letter from NYP. I called the admission, they say to check the website but it still says processing.
