Hi guys!

After upgrading the NZXT CAM software to the latest version, my HUE+ lighting cant be adjusted, it only shows white light. The CAM software detected my hue+ but i cant change the color modes.

Previously when i encountered this issue, i uninstall the CAM software and downgraded to the previous known working edition and it works.

But this time despite changing to the older software and replugging all the cables, the HUE+ still only show white light.

Anybody got a fix on this issue?

Which version of CAM u on and which version of Hue+ u on?

My experience is that CAM breaks frequently, so version matters.

Always save a copy of working cam software.
Every now and then their updates will breaks it....

Personally affected by it for my grid+ v2

You have to roll back to the older version which works for you.

This thing is very very very buggy. I HATE it a lot honestly. No new update will fix any issue but introduce new problems into the mix.

How many LEDs do you have connected to it?
What I recommend you do is try to go to Preset and choose a Fixed colour over there. Then, slowly try the other features. I had the same issue as you whereby some colours and effects such as Marquee and custom will not even display. Did the same thing as you, I uninstalled and installed but no go.

In the end, I uninstalled and unplugged the USB. Then reinstalled it back and made sure the CAM software is fresh and then plugged the USB back. Then I see it detecting the LEDs again. If it doesn't, you can try changing the LED main cable to use the second LED port on the Hue+.

Anyway, because this new update had me tinkering around and double checking I didn't place the LED extension cables the wrong way, it literally killed one of my LED strips. SUPER ANNOYED.
I can't wait for new MOBOs that allow me to synchronize all the lighting on my PC. If it is very customizable, I will ditch the CAM software like the trash that it is.

Just updated in the afternoon 3.2.37.
I tried rolling back to the previous safe version but now its just stuck on white light.

I can change the modes on the software but it wont be reflected on my led strips.

Guess i got to manually plug 1 by 1 see whats the problem.

Stupid buggy software since it was released and i think my warranty expired alr

Thanks all for the advice!

Anyway try this:

1) Uninstall CAM software.
2) Uninstall MCP2200 (Under 'Control Panel' > 'Devices and Printers' > right-click on 'MCP2200 USB Serial Port Emulator' > 'Remove device')
3) Restart computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the usually-faulty MCP2200.
4) Install CAM. My CAM is on latest 3.2.37. It works. 3.2.25 also works.
5) Once in CAM, install Hue+. If u already installed prior to that, it should detect Hue+. If Hue+ not detected under 'Tuning' tab, means that version of CAM buggy.
6) Hue+ should update firmware. My working version of Hue+ firmware is V004.002.008. I remember the previous firmware version (V003) broke my Hue+, my Hue+ detected by CAM but cannot change colour other than static white.

Hopefully it works. I've learnt to be selective of CAM software versions and google other places (especially reddit or CAM forums) for solutions when i end up with a broken CAM version. Another problem I have is that CAM has problems with Windows UAC (will autostart up in admin mode, but will not in user mode so my Hue+ remains static white until I run the CAM program), but I have learnt to live with it.
