I am buying Instant oats (those in a plastic container with handle) from Seng Siong, Giant & NTUC.

The NTUC near you might be very small one under HDB... Go to a bigger one, and u will find instant oats next to quick cooking ones.

Other way is microwave them, which is quick and convenient (Provided you have microwave at workplace pantry).

ntuc i think still got sale ah .

1kg for maybe 5 bucks something like that.

i take rolled oats. organic or non organic doesnt matter to me.

i dont cook them, i just mix them with protein and eat, in hopes to meet my calories intake.

and if u want something that doesnt taste as bad, you can follow what i do which is pretty mafan..

protein powder + oats + water + ice + blender = v nice protein/oat dessert.

i just cooked my first ever oatmeal with fresh fruits but it really tasted like **** and i feel like puking after forcing myself to eat it

does oatmeal taste this bad or because i did not cook properly :s13:

and yes, oatmeal is horrible imo, if you cook it.

whiteflag, try to add something to elevate the flavor, you can add honey, or peanut butter, some sour fruit. , even some nuts (smashed).

i do find it taste cold better than hot, so i always put like 5-6 ice cubes into it after i cook it.

however i don't have oatmeals on its own. i use it in a full meal to replace the white rice, so I have others dishes to go with it like meat/ salads... so it tastes better that way also.

I go with flaxseed, protein powder, add hot water to the oat, and viola! That's my breakfast in office :)

NTUC should have, just look for rolled or quick oats, dont really have to cook them. sometimes when in a hurry i just put a cup in my shake and eat them after they soak up some of the liquid, ive eaten them straight before aint that bad.

When I see the term "baby oats", does it mean it is meant for babies or is it referring to another type of oats?

Sometimes they are cleared out from the shelf... just need to ask the staff to restock them.

If your not joining competitions, i think the low % of gluten in it wont hurt at all.

Its always placed next to the quick cooking ones... and there are many brands to choose from.

Alternatively, you can choose to buy some from iherb when u have several items to order, it will be economical.
