oc issue

guys, i hv i7 2600k oc to 4.5ghz. the qns is, now the speed is constant at 4.5ghz. how do i make it auto downclock, and up when i need the power?

Maybe you can check which program is hogging onto the CPU from Task Manager?

although this is only common in AMD but check the power options in OS

okay guys i found out the cause. lol i hv set my minimum processor speed to 100%, thats y its stuck at 4.5ghz. now i drop it to 50% the speed is up and down...

thanks guys!!

I get what you mean but my own desktop is on High Performance power plan but doesn't encounter constant high step up speed.

Maybe you will wish to reset the power plan and readjust again from there?

alrite man! thanks for your help. i wasnt expecting that though. now its solved. but the temps are pretty high compared to my fren running fx8350 oc-ed to 4.5ghz with antec kuler 920.
