if i set a saving goal, will the saving goal account get the same interest too? say for example i'm getting 3.05% on my 360 account already.

Hi there,

It definitely will. The savings goal is part of your daily balance, so we certainly count that as well.

Hope this helps!

Anyone know how the principal amount for the bonus interest is calculated? Only received $13.8 x 3 interest when I had 50k in the account on payout day. Shouldn't it be $120 / month?

Is it because I had around 20k for half the month and only topped up later?

Hi there!

The interest rate is per annum, and we look at daily balance. So your interest rate per day will be 1/365 X 3%.

Hi,

I have 2 ocbc cc and I spend 200 each. Am l entitle for the additional 1 %.

Hi there,

You definitely are! The spending can be spread out across your different OCBC cards. But you'll have to be the principal card holder to be eligible.

Hope this helps!

not sure if anyone ask this.

But if i use 360 account and use the " Pay your OCBC/Plus! credit card bill" to pay my ocbc credit card, does that contribute to the 3 bill payments ?

Hi trepies,

That's certainly eligible! You can make the payment to your own OCBC credit card or other Bank's credit card, via your online/ mobile banking.

did anyone actually terminate their 1.1% fixed deposit and move to this account instead? i'm wondering if ocbc would give prorated interest on the 1.1% or just the basic super low interest?

Hi quirkyhill,

Are you referring to the Chinese New promotion we had? Based on the T&Cs of the time deposit you placed in previously, if you withdraw after the 6 month's period, the interest earned will only be up to the quarter of the year.

In addition, if you were one of those customers who signed up together with the S$50 NTUC vouchers, we will deduct the value from your account. Hope this clarifies.

Does the employer need to have a ocbc account to do the giro to my ocbc 360 account in order to be able to state as GIRO-SALARY? Can you provide a guide on setting up the giro process to reflect GIRO-SALARY? My employer has a scb account instead and the last salary credit in june statement reflected as GIRO-IBG (with description as STS SAL + company name) and in this case I am not entitled to the bonus 1%.

Hi joanie_dan,

Your employer is not required to have an account with OCBC Bank. However, your employer will have to liase with SCB on setting up that "GIRO-SALARY" description.

Hope this clarifies!

Hi ... I have a MSA with OCBC, earning 1% once 3 years is up. One is maturing end of this year... another maturing in 1st quarter of next year.

Do you think its advisable to shift to this OCBC 360 instead, right now?

I think I can fit the requirements for the Credit Card spend & paying bills.. hahaa

Any advises?

Dear OCBC Team,

in case you missed my posting above.
Would like to know if you have any advises regarding my case, since both MSA maturing soon.

But kindda tight recently, may have to break the MSA.

Seems more worthwhile to transfer everything to the OCBC 360 account, but then again... the $3k min balance is what deter me from doing it (as its mandatory after the first year).

Thanks.

Hi quirkyhill,

You will earn interest up to the closest quarter of the year. For example, if you placed your Time Deposit with us since Sept '13 & withdrew in July '14, the interest you will earn will only be up till June 2014.

Hope this helps!

Hi cheery,

Wow, what choices! But we're glad to hear that you're interested in applying for the 360 account.

Well it depends entirely on your own preference. The MSA allows you to save in increments. However, if you do switch to the 360 account, you will enjoy the full bonus interest if you fulfill all 3 criterias.

Hope this helps!

Question:

1) Does this account eligible for Joint Account? If so, I just need either one of account holders to get company deposit the monthly salary in?

2) For the spending, does it apply to supplementary card?

Hi Cheery,

I'm afraid so. If you withdraw your Monthly Savings Account any earlier than the maturity date, the interest you will earn will be lower.

Hi marcoyeo,

The card spend or IPP amount has to be charged to any credit cards issued by OCBC Bank. Since the GE Cashflo card is issued by us, then definitely yes. The IPP amount will be eligible as part of the $400 spend.

Hope this helps!

Hi OCBC,

"1% Cash Rebate for selected Great Eastern Life and Overseas Assurance Corporation insurance plans

Enjoy a 1% cash rebate on your premiums for selected Great Eastern Life and Overseas Assurance Corporation plans charged to your OCBC Great Eastern Cashflo Credit Card. The rebate is automatically credited into your card account and used to offset your monthly bills."

Where can we find the list of selected GE Life plans entitled to the 1% cash rebate?

If I get this card, how do we effect the change from cheque/GIRO to Cashflo card for our existing policies to earn this 1% cash rebate? Is there a form to download somewhere?

Is the GE Cashflo card the only card that offers the highest cash rebate (1%) for GE insurance premiums currently? I think there is currently no way to pay GE insurance premiums online to earn cash rebates from credit card otherwise FRANK will be a better choice offering 6%. Paying premiums using other credit card is also not possible because there is no form for it. See Great Eastern Life Singapore - Policy Servicing

Actually wanted to feedback.

OCBC monthly saving account(MSA), after the maturity date it will auto create another account:mad: and it will charge you for $2 for account below $1K. Lucky cso is kind to waive off, if not the interest i earn i not enough to cover.

Is there anyway to return the principal + interest to the statement account that use to deduct to the MSA.

btw i use online to create MSA
