anyone tried using the OCBC app and pay via Alipay before?

is it linked to the bank account or to the credit card?

I tried to pay in Msia but failed several times..I have OCBC 360 account and also OCBC 365 account..

I have not use OCBC app overseas, but below FAQ might be useful. It should be link to your OCBC bank a/c.

seen that, but doesnt help,
1) doenst specify if it's bank or credit, I assume it's bank account
2) doesnt specify about any setting to enable, which I dunno why I never been able to pay via Ali pay OCBC..

OCBC slow CS also making things worst..
most of the time HWZ faster..

Under Profiles & Settings, maybe check ‘Online Banking settings’ and ‘Manage Transaction limits’.

Locally (in SG), have you use ‘Scan & Pay’ to scan SG-QR code or NETS QR code and make successful payments debiting from OCBC 360 a/c ?

Maybe the seller in Malaysia display a faulty Alipay+ QR code.

I just returned from my first trip to Shanghai and both Alipay and WeChat pay works perfectly. All charge to Trust Card with zero FX comms. U should go watch YouTube videos on how to set them up properly.

heard of ppl who try to use the OCBC app but because they change sim card in China, cannot rcv their OTP then cannot pay

I used it last year in Nov when I was in China. The charges will deduct from your 360 account.

Ocbc finally replied, but useless, citing merchant error but I have tried a fee diff merchants and yield same problem, obviously it’s more likely to be my account issue.

Did ocbc did enough testing then?

Think of some other possibilities eg. you lock or earmark your ocbc 360 a/c, your mobile broadband not working while you are in Malaysia, etc.

Alipay will not work in Singapore. The codes here are for those with Alipay linked to bank accounts in China.

So no way to test in sg. Will try in Batam this weekend.
