Yeah, ocbc passbook savings is min 1k. Ocbc still quite ok. When I requested them to waive the charges, they waived 50% for me. Uob is very stringent. They will not waived. I ever had the uob one account at early stage, and min was 500. Then they increased to min 1k and dunno about it. Kena charged a few mth of fall below fee of $5.

Not just close that account, but knowing OCBC, they might end their entire relationship with you, and blacklist you from opening new accounts with them in the future.

Unless u have basic acct like me.

Based on my own experience, ocbc will just leave u alone for a few years then warn u to auto-close dormant acct. No blacklist or such. Hehe

Basic Banking Account was an old bank acct for the poor. its passbook is red. now cannot open le.

red cover with 7 orange pages. mine opened in 02 sep 2006. maybe i keep for another 16 years will fade to orange too.
