Dear OCBC,
how are the points counted/rounded?
every $5 based on the total amount spent at end of billing cycle? or per transaction?
how would a $4 transaction work out?

Hi wilflare,

The OCBC$ is computed based on statement cycles.

You may refer to point 3 of our TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING OCBC TITANIUM REWARDS CREDIT CARD PROGRAMME for more information on this: https://www.ocbc.com/assets/pdf/cards/titanium_rewards_credit_card-terms-conditions.pdf?rand=1

OCBC$ is given based on every $1 spent. Depending on categories, it would give 1X, 10X etc.

It is rounded down to the nearest whole number. So if the tally for the month works out to be $4.60, you will be awarded OCBC$ based on $4.

More information on OCBC$ issuance can be found under "Terms and Conditions" on this page: https://internet.ocbc.com/rewards/

Hope this clarifies.

Hi AphoticFX,

Do allows us to share that MCCs are determined by merchants and payment card organizations, which OCBC has no discretion over.

In order for transactions to enjoy 10X OCBC$, their Merchant Category Codes (MCC) have to fall under those that are listed in our terms and condition. If merchants classify them otherwise, such transactions would not give 10X OCBC$

Please note that the merchant's registered MCC may not always correspond with its nature of business. For example, KrisFlyer Shop is registered as a Duty Free Store (MCC 5309) and Financial Institution (MCC 6012) even though it sells a variety of retail products, including electronics and gadgets and personal care.

We are unable to advise beforehand if a certain merchant gives 10X.

That said, we have come across some of the more common merchants in the list. Purchases of items included under the 10X OCBC$ categories gave the corresponding 10X OCBC$:

Qoo10
Shopee
Lazada
Harvey Norman
Watsons
Guardian
Harvey Norman
Courts

If you have made a transaction at a shop that you think should be included under the 10X categories, but was not given, feel free to drop us a PM and we’ll be glad to look into it.

Hi OCBC, can I know if Paypal payment on Newegg (electronics retailer from US) qualify for 10x?

Hi eliteFX,

If you are using your Titanium Rewards credit card to pay for transactions made at the merchant website via PayPal as a gateway, you should qualify for 10X OCBC$, assuming Newegg classifies themselves under the electronics categories.

If you are topping up your PayPal account with the credit card, that would not give 10X OCBC$.

Do PM us should you have further queries and we'll be glad to advise.

Hi bluecrab,

If you make payment at a Telco via mobile payment, it would give you 10X OCBC$ under the OCBC Titanium Rewards Credit Card 10x Rewards Mobile Payments & Personal Care Promotion, as long as the transaction types do not fall under those in clause (c) of the terms and conditions below (link below).

I am really NOT comfortable with this statement

Any other fees and charges or transactions determined by OCBC from time to time

Do I understand correctly that a customer might make a transaction with the assumption that he/she will earn 10 OCBC$ and OCBC then decides that they for whatever reason do not want to grant it?

Do I read this correctly?

Hi OCBC,

Newstead Electronics Shops awarded x10 OCBC points?

Hi comcent,

Transactions at both Newstead's online and physical shops should give 10X OCBC$.

If you had transacted, but were not awarded, please PM us and we'll be glad to look into this.
