occulus rift rig help

thinking of building a rig for occulus rift

Will the below do? Not overclocking nor going SLI/Crossfire.
Also thinking of using back my current SSD/HDD which runs on win7. Will it work?

Asus H170 Pro Gaming with i7 6500 - 562
2X single kingston 2133 8GB ram - 70*2=140
cooler master c550m - 103
Asus edit: GTX 970 turbo -499
Case - any help here?

Primary SSD with OS
Secondary HDD
Have 2x case fans and a cpu cooler - but being 5 years old i think its time to change them.

Have a budget of about 1.5-1.8k. Am willing to pay more if i can make a micro ATX or even a itx with similiar performance.

No it wont work out. You will need a minimum gtx970 or a r9 390x. Anything below wont cut it.

Or you have a typo of 970 rather than 670?

yup typo error. its suppose to be a GTX 970
