Is it advisable to avoid due to the influx of chinese tourists? Also the locals will be holidaying so will be damn crowded?
Asking for Taipei.

I don't think this period is very crowded. Peak season is Nov to Feb. You will feel the crowd when you are in famous restaurant, café or attractions.
