I know change GPU and Sound card don't re-trigger OS activation.

CPU never try before because normally once we change CPU a new motherboard is required (intel system / unless u upgrade to high clock speed cpu that the chipset support.). I know AMD some motherboard can use on diff GEN CPU.

Change cpu wun affect OS, tried before with ryzen 1st gen. Only when changing on mobo then will affect. Change ssd also wun but then again, i like to clone into new ssd and then reformat it with OS intact.

I remember I can change the License when I changed whole computer from intel to amd. Just need to login to onedrive and remove the old computer and activate the new PC.

You can check your win 10 license type first, last time i bought a oem win7 and use that license key for win 10. But my win 10 license become a retail which allows me to transfer to another pc.

upgrade not become retail. It become digital license tied to your microsoft account. transferable to another pc only Once when u deactivate the previous then activate the new one.

OEM license tied to mobo.

Yup. As long as your don't change your board you are fine.

For people that change their systems regularly, I feel just get a proper retail version and get it tagged to your account which you can reuse again and again. Save the hassle of buying multiple copies of OEM version, and those that you get from the grey market.

Unactivated version will keep bugging you after some time. I recall there are other limitations.

No bugging at all. Only for watermarl on bottom right of screen. Limitation is cannot customize wallpaper and lock screen but you can always right click "set as wallpaper"
