Last year Oppo 5 also so many pple say 1080p no difference with 720p, but in the end it's really big difference and 1080p become standard

Depends on the size of the screen. 5" and below, u cant see diff between 720p and 1080p. Below 6", u cant see difd between 1080p and 1440p (so its not 2k screen to be exact).

For 1440p to be effective, u need 6" and above screen to see the difference from normal viewing distance which imo anything above 5.5" is already not considered a phone.

So why the home lcd tv is mostly still 1080p and 4k screen still not yet commonly availble? Cos we dun look at tv at close distance so cant see the difference and most tv content also are not at 4k yet. Same for apps, most are still not 1080p yet so why need 1440p? It does nothing but sucking more batt life only.

I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with the Find 7a. I had the flagship phones of 2014 (s5, z2 & m8) and all 3 were problematic in one way or another. This Find 7a surprised me in many ways with the gesture motions, camera capabilities and an above average screen. Battery life is still too early to tell but my set doesn't have the high discharge during standby time (only 2% overnight). Only thing missing is kitkat but I can live without it since with jellybean, I can copy /delete files on my sd card. The phone is also very snappy and lag free. The skyline notification light is just classy. Great phone at a reasonable price!

Agreed. The color os really brings back the wow factor and interesting new features that used to wow us few years back when smartphones were newly launched.

The past 3 years has been very stagnant for OS and UI as most manufactureres only focus on pumping out the same phone with newer cpu, bigger screen but no innovation to make the phone any smarter or easier to use.

Kudos to oppo for being innovative and brings us a new refresh to about using a phone.

I am utterly impressed by the gesture features of color os and why other big names didnt think of such good way of interacting with our devices.

Looking forward to oppo new devices to come in future. Guess i am keeping this find 7a for a while. No other device has made me happy and able to use my phone as easy as this.

I agree, besides a more attractive pricing, Oppo should improve their presence here and engage with the users regularly with contest, etc through social media.

From what i saw, their pricing in us and europe or even china is more expensive and there are even bigger fan base at those places.

Yeah but at least they didn't mark up too much here. for china brand, if you want high value product go for xiaomi. Oppo and Vivo are higher quality one.

Agreed. Not every product pricing is gauged by the specs or perceived branding. Sadden that most consumers now are thinking of that.

It should be priced by its quality, value and user experience, which is think find 7a is well worth its price,

If not, frankly a ip5s to me is only worth $200 if its based on specs alone.

Singapore and China pricing are actually very close. Just that China if buy online got free bluetooth speaker, case, bag. They need to give those in Singpaore too as Singaporean love freebies, can boost the sales.

That's not entirely true, and I can say I 100% disagreed with you. Did you came up with that theory on yourself or did you actually compared 720p to 1080p clarity for above 5 inch phones? Because what you are saying is that you can't see the difference between 720p to 1080p for phones that's >5 inch

I've Note 2 5.5inch (720p), Galaxy S4 5inch & Galaxy Note 3 5.7inch (1080p) I compared them, and I know there's a very clear difference in clarity, so your theory = false. Your theory alot of other people used it before during the transitions from 720p to 1080p lol

As for the TV in 1080p and 4K display, I tested them as well, looking at both at quite a distance I can tell a definite difference too.

The only reason why we are still not going to use the 4K display are basically because 4K display are new and VERY expensive to own one, so until it's commercialised, it's not worth upgrading it.

You are just obessed with the new purchase of Find 7a, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's a good phone but not "problem-free", there's handful negative problems on the Find 7a, you can Google and see it yourself, it's the price that attracts people, and at 599 RRP, it can't be positioned to be that cheap nor that expensive, afterall, we are getting the lower end specs of Snapdragon 800 whereas all the Sony Samsung new flagships are coming with Snapdragon 801. So that $599 RRP is still somewhat acceptable imo

The yellow glow is a LCD defect which can't be fix by Software, so people who are troubled by it have to bear with it
