Cannot set push mail frequency? This is a major dealbreaker, especially for people using phones to check work email.

I tried to look thru all the settings but can't find. Any pro oppo user can highlight to me where to set it.

thanks

I find all this talk about dictating pricing, market analytics and specs stuff entertaining :)
Imho, as long as to me I deem this model as value for money, am ok with the key listed 'issues/gripes' others are reporting and all things considered and compared (features I need, comparisons on hardware/price against other similar phones, feel and try it in person to be sure handling and stuff is not just ok on paper only) plus as I have the need and it is within my means to purchase this smartphone, I go ahead and not regret the purchase loh, simple as that, no need to justify so much.

Life's too short to fuss too much over a phone. My 2 cents la :)
But I doubt that's how majority of buyers think. Resale/resell value is still la big deal for many. The pricing should resonate with market sentiment, else for a China phone, Oppo will be priced out, no matter how good the spec is.

Like a good-specced China car trying to compete with a Korean car for the same price. Reputation must precede price.

Oppo boss if you are reading this, you know the price can be set lower.

Stock android also dun have this function.

Only the major big few like htc, samsung, lg and sony default email client can set the push timing.

For me, I use a 3rd party downloaded email client as I changed phones too often, so at least I have a common app for all the tasks I perform.

Try a email app call Nine. Damn nice and fully featured. I paid for it after using for a few days. Its the best email client imo.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I dont have any issues as all the bros here mentioned except for the slight yellow tint at bottom of the screen but it doesnt bother me much for the price paid.

I didnt have the screen sensitivity issue and also the standby time was great. Overnight took off from charger at 11pm till 7am this morming, i still have 99% and thats with auto sync and wifi all on.

When calls come in, the screen will turn on to accept or reject the call as per other phones.

Overall used it for the last 3 days as my daily driver. Today is a work day so see how it performs with my daily load on it.

So far the os is damn smooth and fast, almost like using stock android and htc sense. Its by far the smoothest experience I had in android. I really have to tell all my ios friends to try this out. Many of which had switched back to ios after suffered with lousy touchwiz.

Today while I was at the coffeeshop playing with my phone, a few onlookers were amazed why I can switch the phone on by just a swipe up on a off screen. And why I kept making a front arrow gesture on the empty screen (as they dun know I am skipping my soundtracks with that gesture).

erm....
1. cannot blame the hp, get another case.
2. have u try to move away from ur ear, still off?
4. hahha change another wallpaper.

:s13::s13::s12:

For 1. I don't think it's due to the case. The case cover just contains a magnet nia, what to do when it detects the magnet is entirely up to the phone. So the funny thing is why it chooses to turn the phone on but not off, it's like a half implemented feature.

For 3. I also changed wallpaper and it's settled. I also changed launcher cos the default launcher makes the icons too big, big waste of screen real estate.

Service center is at Clark Quay Central.

There is no telco deal yet.

Demo set you can find at Sim Square and Burlington Square.
