the yellow tint

*this is a OPO....but F7a or F7 also have similar issue

Its not a deal breaker...it depends whether r u ok with it

I really love the Oppo Find 7A and was wondering if M1 still carries the Find 7A? I will most probably be signing for the value plan ($39 per month), does anyone know the upfront cost for this baby?

Strange thing is happening to find 7. For no reason.. paint peel happened.. strange thing is the peeling is happening in the phone.. Wonder if its the inferior material use or if there is any other reason.. its less than 2 months old phone.

For those who plan to get the find 7 and will be using the camera a lot, do note that the 13mega pixel is 4:3 not 16:9. That means ur picture appears squarish on Facebook etc. To get 16:9,you will have to use 10mega pixel instead.

(just in case u have a pet peeve, like me)

Just got it. Pretty satisfied with it. Got the yellow tint on my previous Sony, so thank goodness my find 7 is ok. Thanks for sharing!

Don't think Find 7 has yellow tint problems. This is more prevalent on Find7a which has similar display as One plus One

Find 7 indeed does not have yellow tint, it is just that the LCD colour temperature is slightly to the warm side but brightness is dimmer than Find 7A (the early batches in March/April).

Not sure if anyone posted this. You can adjust slightly by doing to the following.

1. Open Phone app (the dialer)
2. Press *#36446337# (basically means *#engineer#) to go into Engineer Mode
3. Go to Manual Test
4. Go to LCDgamma parameters
5. Tab on menu (the one left of home button) and choose the LCD parameters you want.
- Color-Null shift is by default
- reddish is towards warm and with a slight green (to my eyes)
- yellowish is towards the cooler one (the bluish type)
6. Once done, make sure you press the back button all the way back to the dialer screen (to ensure the settings is permanently set), so that you do not need to change again each time you reboot.

This is based on v1.2.6i firmware. No root required. Works for both Find 7/7A.

If you want to know a little more about the hardware, scroll to Other Information. You can see things like the main board, display panel, rear/front camera by which company, etc. Other settings I don't know and will not touch. Do it AYOR.
