1) i have joint account with my CFO. Every month will certainly save a portion of my salary. The $$ inside the account is cannot withdraw
2) Have already streamline to - 1/6 Army Fig , Saint seiya .
3) hmm , never set aside a certain amount of budget. if need to buy toys, i spend within my means.
4) yup, been doing that.
its always this question, can afford the toy but want to buy or not, its a whole different issue
Yo bro.
1) Then maybe set aside more $ for the joint account?
2) If you are already streamlining, then i think that it is alright although 1/6 Army fig/dolls and St. Seiya have a lot of releases. In which case, just have to ask yourself, is it really that unique that i must have it in my collection?
3) You may want to set aside a certain budget despite spending within your means so that you can monitor the amount spent. It seems to work for some collectors here.
4) Excellent! For me, i can never bear to sell my stuff. If i buy, it means that i am keeping for life.
At the end of the day, i believe that such spending is really subjective. If you feel that you should curb your buying, then you would be the best person to think of a way to do so. For me, the biggest issues at the moment which are preventing me from buying even more than i should are:
a) lack of display and storage space
b) maintenance of the figures and toys - some of my PVC and resin figures are starting to "sweat" and accumulate dirt so i am going to have to clean them using the methods which i had posted previously. I had tried to clean some of my more beloved and older figs and it is really a chore. So, being a little cautious, i have not opened up a lot of my stuff which i had bough in 2010, just so that i don't have to clean them. However, i realised that such an approach is erroneous because the figures will still get sticky and keeping them MSIB defeats the purpose of me buying them in the first place, which brings me back to point (a). sigh
c) Money diverting to other hobbies such as PC Hardware, PC Gaming and other necessities in life and around the flat.
