You need to have an active 365 subscription to download and install it. If you do, click on this link!

Installed. So far no issue. UI almost identical to Windows version.
Can choose between Classic look and feel or Colorful during the first run of the application.

you may purchase a subscription at https://products.office.com/en-sg/office-365-home

There are different subscription plan, therefore choose one that fit you best.

Thanks bro.

It says here in the FAQ that even thought if your PC machines is capable of 64 bit, it is better to install the 32-bit version. Does this apply to Mac machines too ? My Mac can run 64-bit, so I install 32-bit or 64-bit version ?

https://products.office.com/en-sg/microsoft-office-for-home-and-school-faq

Thanks

i would strongly believe that this particular faq is for Windows Users for two reasons.

First, the reason why they would want people to install 32bit is because some of the plugin/extension might not be compatible with 64bit office. but there are still some advantage of 64bit office such as more rows for excel, etc

Second, as far as i understand, microsoft only released 1 version of office for mac (there is no choosing of 32bit or 64bit during the download. at least this is what i am seeing on my side at this moment). thus this should not be a problem for mac users. (correct me if i am wrong.)

You can also buy in store for a serial number in a box. In some locations it's significantly cheaper (e.g. Malaysia).
Thanks for the suggestion.

Maybe cheaper ... but buy online can get 5 sets free with mixture of Windows & Mac (I am getting the 365 Home). Some of my kids use Windows and some use Mac ... so this is a good package ... but buy CD in box you are restricted to either Mac or Windows ... correct me if I am wrong ...

Thanks

Wrong.

Actually what is sold in the store is just a subscription code which is exactly what you will get. Even those sold in the store comes with different plans such as individuals or 5 users packs.

For individual pack, you would be able to choose between mac or windows. For 5 users it also similar except that you get to use it on 5 computer regardless of mac or windows.

OIC ...

Thanks ashhong for the explanation ...

On another note, I already have Office 2011 on my Mac.

Can I know whether I can install and use both versions or must I Uninstall Office 2011 before I install Office 365 Home ?

Thanks you

Thanks

Not sure if both version can co-exist on a same system. But I removed my previous version to avoid any conflicts, if any.

according to Microsoft you can.

Look under the "Can I install Office 2016 for Mac and Office for Mac 2011 on the same computer?" section:
