Is it true that most officer in ns from army to police and Scdf come from Tekong bmt? I know it's not all but I've heard that most of them come from Tekong bmt. Example my cousin who was in Spf only had 1 or 2 personnel in nspi out of 700 Spf recruits joining whereas he said most of the other nspi are from Tekong bmt. Just wanted to clarify this.

Yup, I can't speak for SCDF, but in the SPF, of each intake of trainees (700+) there are only a handful (2-4) that make it and become an OCT. Normally an OCT batch will consist of two intakes worth of Trainees.

FYI, SPF trainees have to be the cream of the cream of the crop. It is really difficult to get in for Trainees.

If not wrong, majorly of PO will end up in Key Installations Command (KINS) which is now known as Protective Security Command (ProCom) for reservist. They will be sent to training centre like BMTC to learn BMT skills.

That why they needs their leader like INSP(NS) to be trained in BMT too & by taking newly PTE from BMT to OCT(SPF NSF) is an easier way.

Some of this OCT(SPF NSF) will end up as Company Commander in Training Command (TRACOM) to train new SPF Recruit which require some BMT experience to make their basic training environment like BMT.

yup... my bmt bunk mate went on to be a scdf officer...
