hahaha paiseh.
anyway ur gpu temps are kinda high..
is urs passively cooled or something?
cos my 8800gts gets arnd 56 degrees idle, 64 degrees load.
think the heat might be the culprit in this case.
80 degrees load is way too high.

try using rivatuner to confirm the temps.
maybe ati tool is screwing with you.
cos at 70 plus degrees, i think you should be able to SMELL your gfx card running. =/

Oh, silver medals, good job! Though didn't get first place like last time SG leg, but still great results!

So won some much needed cash?

yup but no choice bro.

here's a quote from my teammate T_M

Day 1 - DDR2 system
Our CPU was comparitively good and benched at 4550 8M, but we were neck and neck with another team. In the end we lost because we simply couldnt get our Q3 score to go up by 1 fps, even though our clocks were higher on both CPU and GPU :s

Day 2 - DD3 system
Our CPU was comparitively mediocre and benched at only 4400 8M (compared to another team with 4650), so we were handicapped from the start. But we still managed to draw for first, with the decided benchmark falling to 8M which we obviously lost (by 5secs +) due to gay CPU.

More to come when we've time...

I think something is wrong with your vga. Have u tried tuning the vga fans to run at 100% max all-time using rivatuner?

My ultra is 75-80 after tuning rivatuner, idle stay 70. Also, i duno much about your card but since it is nvidia card, think the design is roughly the same. Try to install a fan at the vga exhaust to transfer the trapped hot air away from the vga exhaust. It works a 3-5 degree for me,

after another week or so of overclocking and sleepless nights,

hard.jpg

only way to go upwards now would probably be phase or liquid cooling.
or more money. =:p

Vga oc to 671/1080 and cpu oc to 3.4Ghz. Prime95 stable but temperature of cpu hits 68 degree easily and loiter around the range <70 degree.
