Got my new rig, or actually forced to get a new rig. Old PSU Fried almost everything in my previous rig. That is sian man as im in the midst of my final year project.

Got this rig, already saw 2 blue screen of death. But 1 is caused by utorrent and active armour. The other 1 was caused by installing of some FEM and maths software. I hate those software. Hard to install and freaking choosy about compilers.

Anyway, this is my 3dmark 06.

Seems ok everyone?Does it look laggy in anyway? Im alittle paranoid about it crashing again after seeing 2 blue screens in 3 days. Orthos ran for 8 hrs without any error though.

Anyway my GFX is ASUS 256mb running at 600/1800. No OC at all. All Stock~

Any potential for this particular card? Erm..problem is theres no temp probe on the card. Dont know whether it fries or not...haha

Just a small improvement after I installed my WC kit.. Haven't tried to push it much further... oh well, at least this is my 24/7 specs for now..

I need some help with configuring my ballistix timings on my dfi x38 board.... back to googling...

Hey guys it seems that when i put my settings to default 3dmarks06 always makes the res 1175x 950 or something like that not 1280 x 1024 res.

Why is this so?????

hey just got a new rig, specs are -->

intel dualcore 8400 @ 3ghz
msi 8800gt 512mb OC 660/1650 with zalman fan
4x 1gb kingston ddr2 800mhz ram
wd 320gb 16mb
msn neo2-fr
coolermaster extreme 550w

everythings on stock cooling, 3d marks about ~13k, is that about right? How can i increase it without changing any hardware stuff anymore?

My 24/7 settings.

First time fixing my own rig & overclocking.

Only changed DRAM Configuration Settings & overclocked CPU a bit. GPU is on ATI Overdrive "Auto-Tune"

Did not adjust voltage as I read that this will decrease my computer's lifetime.

Just messing around here and there with my new rig while avoiding any actions that will lead to the sudden death of my comp.

If any bros here have any advice on how I can improve my comp without affecting it's lifetime by much, please do PM me, cheers.

as long as u run within the rated safe voltage it wont really affect the life of yr hard

normally life of a hardware = the warranty period to me. lol
