Seems to me Gfx card is the more important one in 3DMARK.

Anyways i just pushed my HD4850 from 625 to 675 and memory to 1050.
Q9400 at 3.4ghz 1.32v.

Achieved 13800 in 3dmark06.

Should be normal right?
If i get a HD4870 i should have around 15000points?

My Q9400 3.4ghz already need 1.32v on cpu-z liao!And its not even OCCT Prime or IBT stable!Only can run 3DMARK.

Your rams running at 1:1? NB and VTT got increase?

My Q9550 is actually sub standard. My max at stock voltages is only 3.5105ghz (413x8.5), where the average is 3.60.

stock voltage for Q9550 is 1.2V. I never set auto de.

my NB and VTT are at 1.29V. You try setting to Auto and see can stablise or not. More likely is your NB not enough.

Hmm my NB and VTT are at auto le but still cant.

Now curently is:

Q9400 @ 3.4ghz using 1.3v in bios/1.32 in cpu-z
DRAM 2v
All the rest at auto.

I donno if bios version will affect it anot:X

I now try NB and VTT 1.29v first?

Increased my VTT and MCH voltage to 1.3v
MCH is NB voltage right?

I tried booting up 3.6ghz at 1.3v and MCH VTT 1.3v only boot till want to load vista then restart.

3.5ghz 1.3v and MCH VTT 1.3V boot till windows then signing in msn then hang bsod.

Now 3.4ghz 1.3v MCH VTT 1.3v stressing cpu OCCT for 2min never fail.
I think last time 3.4ghz 1.3v MCH VTT auto will fail OCCT.Now trying Prime.Any other choice?

What is the best performance/voltage clock for q9400/q9550 ar?

Now went back to 3.4ghz 1.3v with MCH VTT 1.3V too.
Erm what is the default volt for mch and vtt?

I oc my hd4870 not different in 3dmarks. Maybe u can oc to hd4890 clock n mem speed, c how the result 1st.

Lol. Its very embarassing but I really have no idea how to clock up the 4870x2. I tried doing it in CCC but results same leh. The nvidias were so much more straightforward to clock.
