I've given up with the rubbish ping and network issues on the japanese servers. It wasn't so bad the first couple of weeks but now I get nonstop (95% of the time) packet loss/netcode yellow warnings on the right side, my opponents teleport in the middle of gunfights, half my shots do not register a hit and I get killed around corners all the time. There are some times when it becomes playable again but its so rare now its not worth it.

I'm going to wait for SEA servers before coming back to this game

The American and European servers are getting shut down due to the side-effects of the recent DDoS attack. EA said it has rectified the issue but it is still affecting many players. Now they are demanding refunds from the company. I think Asian and Oceanic servers are slowing getting affected as well.

please share your article. i just checked the reddit and discord channels as well for BF1 and no such complaints for PC or consoles.

Hi guys, I just bought the BF1 game for my son and it seems like he can't connect online. Keeps on saying "Looks like you're offline. Try campaign mode."

Is the server down or is it because he registered as an 11 years old(I've already activated authorised the account as parent/guardian)? Also I bought the game in Sim Lim and the cover and paper descriptions are all in German. Could it be a case of the servers detecting that this is a game made in Germany and running in Singapore?

Bought the game as a reward for his final year result and now he can't play online. Would appreciate any help.

nah, it has nothing to do with the game software.

either your telco internet got problem, or game servers are down, try again another day. meanwhile, has your son finished the campaign?

Ditto. At lvl 16 and getting kinda boring.
Been playing Assault a lot.

Actually the only fun i have now is getting into a tank, train or blimp and blasting away. The feeling of scoring a good hit is amazing. Especially if the hit decapitates a building and wipes out an entire squad hiding in it.... hahahah

Aside from Medic, my understanding is Support is also another good way to lvl up fast.

In any case, the game rewards you for not just a good killing ratio. In fact, that's secondary. The rewards come from following squad targets, and capturing objectives (Flags). As medic, you do get quite a lot of points from squad heals and such.

Basically you need to be at the right place at the right time. And often or not, its all about sticking to your squad.

Is BF1 worth buying now? I'm not really into those 'traditional' FPS games like CS:GO, but the mission-oriented and huge world size of battlefield seems really interesting.

It's 3 days now and still offline and can't even enter store or do anything at all other than playing campaign. No he's not finished campaign yet actually. Will that play a part in the ability to play multiplayer?

I might go back to the shop and ask them what's the problem and if the fact the game is a German edition plays a part.

I play one week reach level 17. Key is to be squad leader and have set objective to the area your team go cheong to. Best get the airship or the train or whatever as the driver and bomb the enemy. At the same time capture the flag.

I managed to get 19k points in one game as airship driver at ballroom blitz map. All I did was to drive over the diff flag. Of course bombed a few squad as bonus and up my kill rate.

By this weekend hopefully can up till level 20.

I think most ppl here got it online. And you might have better luck contacting EA direct.
