Any of you on Singtel getting crappy pings again in the range of 180s? I ran a tracert on 43.239.136.219 and got this result.

I tried using PureVPN on Singapore server and the latency went down to 30 - 70s. All green. Is Singtel routing it wrongly again?

yeah not surprising.

imho, just play on HK servers and hope the pings are good. never had a good experience with JP servers. anywhere else is asking to be very unhappy game experience.

as for ISP traceroutes - yeah not only stinktel. all of them must do occasional spot checks and then complain. best if you have evidence that their routing is horrible (compared to friends using other ISP services but same game and server). because it's money saved to them if they use lower cost routes.

yeah it was fine about a week or so ago. or so i personally felt better than JP servers. at least could kill and win some rounds.

but like i said, the ISPs tend to view with the bottom line. their weekly or even daily changes maybe due to changes to load sharing and how much it cost them.

Maybe it is a Singtel thing. I raised it on the Singtel FB page but they said they will look into it.

I also kena HK at about 200+ ping. Japan is about 80. Singtel fibre here.

I think if more people complain to Singtel, they will do something about it. I haven't spoke to them over the phone yet. My feedback has only been through their Facebook page and the Singtel App message. So far, I haven't been given a concrete reply as to what their next steps are.

Good for you bro. My ping / latency is still at 180+ms for HK servers and around 80+ms for JPN servers. Usually, HK servers ping is around 30+ms. The technical helpdesk guy I spoke to is asking Singtel networking team if re-routing is possible.

Update: Got a call from Singtel this afternoon informing me that they have modified the route. It is no longer routed to the US IP address before going to the HK ones. Now my latency is back to normal at 30+ms.

hi guys how is the sg playerbase and community for this game going so far? for a long time i've really been eyeing this game... but couldn't commit as i was busy back then. am a lot more free now, but wanted to know if the game is still going strong with a lot of sg players, or if i should just invest my time and money on other games. also, are servers with stable low pings (around 50 and below?) widely available for the most parts? it'd be a total turn off to play in 100+ ms, based on my previous experience with other FPS/BF games.

I kept getting disconnect and rubber banding.

Ping 30+ to 70+ average Hongkong Japan server.
